Guiding Thought Question: What obligations do humans have in intervening in nature to help animals in distress? Is it any different when facing a natural distress versus a human inflicted distress? What obligations do humans have over the environment as a whole?

Today's Learning Objective: Students will engage in discussion as to the ethical and moral responsibilities of humans over the environment and how behavior is involved in it.

Guiding Thought Question: Write a reaction to the following statement. "People with development disorders should not be labeled as "disabled" rather people without development disorders should be labeled as "temporarily abled." Your reaction should be a minimum of two sentences.

Today's Learning Objective: Student will be able to identify the characteristics of different mental illnesses and specifically research a certain mental illness. Students will examine the factors that create stress and examine their own risk factors. ​

Guiding Thought Question: From a scientific perspective predict why it might be difficult to classify a behavior as "abnormal"? Come up with a method for how you could actually identify an abnormal behavior scientifically.

Today's Learning Objective: Students will be able to classify abnormal behavior, the characteristics of it, the methods of identifying it, and the dangers of it. Students will take notes on the materials, watch a TED Talk relating to the idea of otherness, and be responsible for the materials on the end of unit test.
