Solid data provides hard evidence and can negate anyone who tries to say otherwise. Hard solid data gives you a better understanding and reliable sources/ data

Solid data is important when trying to support a hypothesis because without it your ideas may not be taken as seriously. Also without solid data it’s going to be very hard to prove something.

Solid data is important because you can't prove, or disprove, a hypothesis without real data. Flimsy data makes it seem like it isn't real or legit.

Solid data makes your hypothesis more believable and lets people know that your theory isn't being based off of a bias.

Because you are doing the research for peers. They may never trust your research again because of a mistake.
