9/30/2018

Guiding Thought Question: What can we learn about ourselves from observing and interacting with animals that we might not otherwise be able to come up with?

Today's Learning Objective: Students will explore the benefits of interactions with animals and the ways that animal behavioral psychology can be applied to understanding humans.

You may be able to understand how you interact with nature and how we interact with other people, by seeing how they interact it can give you an outlook on how to properly interact and or how you should interact with others and nature.

understanding the natural, instinctual actions of animals can help humans understand what part of our desires is natural and what part is just humans being humans.

We can learn about why we evolved certain traits. We could also see what we have in common with other species

It can show you that some animals react the same way that humans do and do similar actions in similar situations. And show us that animals are not that different from humans.

I think you’d be able to see just how similar you are to wild animals - like noticing how we all do specific things for a reason (like instinctual behaviors)

Humans could perhaps gain insight into the evolution of behavior—what behaviors that arose in one environment could be carried over to another environment as animals adapt and change?

We can look at different animals and see how we may be alike in some ways. It helps us learn about how we have evolved.
