I know of this one method that requires you to ask for a lot more than what you want, and then ask for what you want, and the person will think "oh it's not as much as the previous offer so it's not as bad so I will do that" and then I also know something where it's asking the opposite of something, like telling someone to stop talking, and that making them talk more. But all along you wanted them to talk more.

Persuasion, under most circumstances—convince the subject that performing the behavior will make him/her happy. I guess motivation and equilibrium are involved, since this all comes down to taking advantage of this natural tendency toward such pursuits. Other times I yell, but it’s rare that’s ever worked with the same efficiency. There’s also guilt as an incentive.

I try and persuade them with stuff that they like. It’s using reinforcement

When I was younger I would blackmail my sister but I'm not sure what psychology is behind that.
