I think that it fits into the mission of the government because a government should be the main voice and champion for improving the country and funding scientific discovery is one of the best ways to better a country.

Science and government should go together like jelly and peanut butter with the people as a whole being the bread. It makes a good society sandwich that won't fall apart and tastes delicious.

The quest for exploration and scientific discovery fits into the idea of government because it promotes expanding the development of our society which is a main goal of our government. Also exploration and scientific discovery is something the public wants to focus on, so since the government represents the people the government would need to focus on it too. The government funds the science and exploration projects while they provide the government with these new discoveries.

I think scientific exploration fits into the role government because the government's purpose to serve the people. In order to better the lives of the people within a country, innovation is a necessity. New industries and inventions raise the standard of living. With research new safety guidelines and standards can be put in place to protect citizens and the environment.

the government is a big part of scientific studies and exploration because it uses the breakthroughs as bragging rights towards other countries and its people. the government can also dictate what information of the scientific studies goes out to the public, and censor whatever they don't want the people of their country to know.
