Guiding Thought Question: Based on your own experience and knowledge, what do you think would be the biggest challenge about trying to complete scientific research on human behavior and society?

Today's Learning Objective: Students will examine the applications of the scientific method and scientific research to the study of human society. Students will take notes, and discuss the ethical considerations of conducting social research.

I think the hardest part about it would be the idea of trying to view a society as a whole, because people are very large variables and are all different from each other.

I think it would be hard because there are so many people and it may be hard to study people from all over.

People can modify their behavior to portray themselves a certain way or to fit your experiment/testing the right way.

I think it will be difficult because to get accurate information on human behavior because you would have to study them for a considerable amount of time to get accurate results. Also if someone knows you are studying them they could act different in certain situations.

They way humans behave is different in different parts of the world, so doing. this research would be hard because in order to fully understand there would need to be a lot of research done.

I think the biggest challenge would be sort of having to 'generalize' an entire group of people because every individual in a group is gonna be at least a little bit different.

People are people and people vary. The greatest blemish, perhaps, to the scintillating science of behavior is that researchers and students of the science alike become vainglorious and steadfast in the belief that their research methods and patterns are tried and true. But they must account for the occasions when methods fail, and individuals fall outside the conventional margins. Everything is not what it seems, as they said on Wizards of Waverly Place.
