Doesn't want it to look like we just copied it, other countries use some of the same ideas, and maybe we don't want to be seen as equal to them.

Some reasons why the u.s doesn't bring where its ideals came from is because the whole premise of starting a new world was that they'd do it differently than their previous ancestors or rulers, but the they ended up taking bits and places from who they were trying to branch away. The reason they probably don't want to attribute they're ideas to the Native Americans is most likely because they completely brutalized them and took over they're land.

1. The US wants to appear as if they created their own government. They take pride in believing that they created all their ideas.
2. They don't want to have links with the country they separated from (England) or other European countries
3. The US could feel guilty that not only did we steal Native American land but we also stole their ideas. The US could also feel ashamed that they use ideas of native Americans since some believe they are inferior.

I think it's because bits of each government have been combined to form one individual government, so it's a mixture of multiple ideas rather than one specific idea.

1.) The US government stole ideas from others but do not lik to admit to it.
2.) They want to keep their 'higher authority' that they think to have (pride)
3.) "What they don't know won't hurt them" so why do people need to spread the word or talk about it; they may think "Is itt that important to actually discuss?"

-relationships between America and those countries haven't always been the best
-to feel original and righteous about creating the best country and government in the world
