Guiding Thought Question: What restrictions, if any, should there be on our abilities to buy, sell, and own different species? Why should those restrictions be there? Or, if you said there should not be any restrictions explain your reasoning. 

Today's Learning Objective: Students will examine how economic demands, including those of the black market, affect global species and the economic, social, political, and environmental impacts of these forces.

​Today's Learning Objective: Students will learn about the extent of the 6th mass extinction by watching a video about its causes, effects, and examples, and then participating in an interactivity meant to engage students with endangered species around the world.

Guiding Thought Question: Can humans truly conquer nature? Or are we completely at its mercy? or somewhere in between? Explain your answer.

Today's Learning Objective: Students will examine the connection between major urban centers and the environmental impacts, and how the environment affects development by debating the concepts of Environmental Determinism and Possibilism and completing a webquest mapping activity.
