Today's Learning Objective: Students will be able to explain the psychological principles of motivation. Students will answer thought questions about the principles and be responsible for today's materials on the unit test. 

Guiding Thought Question: Why would the study of psychology and learning be so important in the designing of learning activities?

Today's Learning Objective: Students will be able to explain the ideas of Bloom's Taxonomy and how they connect to the ideas of learning. Students will read critical thinking questions and make questions of their own using the principles of educational psychology.

Guiding Thought Question: Watch the two videos below about Stephen Wiltshire and explain how Human memory is complicated and can even sometimes be enhanced.

Today's Learning Objective: Students will be able to explain the psychological principles of memory and the methods of encoding, storing, and retrieving information. Students will take notes on the subject and answer questions on an assignment dealing with the concepts of the day's lesson.

Guiding Thought Question: Using the ideas from last class on Operant Conditioning come up with an example of how you can/have use Operant Conditioning to train a specific behavior in an animal. Talk specifically about the behavior you were trying to teach and how you used either reinforcement or punishment (No animal cruelty). 

Today's Learning Objective: Students will be able to explain how operant conditioning is used in real world situations. Students will examine case studies of operant conditioning and answer thought questions about them. 

Guiding Thought Question: Watch the video clip from the Big Bang Theory and based off what you can observe from the clip describe what Operant Conditioning is and how it is different than Classical Conditioning. 

Today's Learning Objective: Students will learn about the principles and theories related to Operant Conditioning. Students will take notes related to the theories of Operant conditioning and then answer thought questions related to the ideas of today's lesson.

Guiding Thought Question: You notice your teacher is starting to lose their voice trying to get the student's attentions. Come up with a suggestion for the teacher on how they can use the ideas of classical conditioning to train the students to perform a task (sitting down quietly at the beginning of class) without having to use their voice. Identify the conditioned stimuli and the conditioned response.

Today's Learning Objective: Students will be able to explain how the ideas of Classical conditioning are applied to the actual development of Learning. Students will go through notes and examples of uses of classical conditioning and then apply their learning to come up with a plan to help someone with a psychological disorder.
