Guiding Thought Question: Watch the youtube clip titled "Let It Go" from Frozen according to Google Translate and use it to help you explain how proper translation and understanding is vital in avoiding confusion and cultural misunderstandings. 

Today's Learning Objective: Students will be able to explain the importance of Language and Religion in the formulation of a cultural identity. Students will take notes on the characteristics of Languages and Religions then complete an assignment where they will apply what they learned.

Guiding Thought Question: From you own experience explain how there are cultural variations between the following groups listed below. Make sure your explanations are school appropriate.
     - Age Groups
     - Ethnic Groups
     - Gender Groups

Today's Learning Objective: Students will be able to describe the differences and characteristics of Folk and Popular cultures. Students will learn about Cultural Relativism and will be able to apply it to the study of culture. Students will take notes on the different types of culture and their characteristics, and then do a reading on Cultural Relativism then watch a TED talk about Folk cultures with associated thought questions relating to the topics of the day.

Guiding Thought Question: Write a definition for culture using your own ideas.

Today's Learning Objective: Students will be able to define culture and explain the different traits that make up culture. Students will go over notes dealing with the different traits of culture which the will apply by researching a specific culture of their own choosing.
