Today's Warm-Up Question: ​Theorize why the founding fathers felt that it was important to divide power between the state and federal government. (Come up with two possible theories)

Today's Learning Objective: Students will learn about the early attempts at government at their weaknesses leading to revision by engaging in a discussion and notes about the Articles of Confederation and the subsequent Constitutional Convention, and watching an informational youtube clip while answering critical thinking questions.

Today's Warm-Up Question: ​Considering that the founding fathers were much wealthier and more educated that average American Colonist, why might the founding fathers possibly have had the strongest opinions about liberty and creating a new government?

Today's Learning Objective: Students will learn about the reasoning and events leading up to the revolution against British authority by taking notes on the events leading up to the revolution, and by examining the Declaration of Independence.
