This could include the companies that make the most money in the most countries, or that might employ the largest number of people in the most places, or just the companies that make the most money overall.

Today's Learning Objective: Students will be able to explain the role of NGOs and Multinational Corporations in global politics. Students will take limited notes on what NGOs and MNCs are, and then do case studies in which they examine the reach of a particular NGO and an MNC.

Guiding Thought Question: Should the United Nations be allowed to make and enforce laws, or should individual states be responsible for making their own laws? Explain your reasoning

Today's Learning Objective: Students will be able to explain the organization and functions of the UN and the role they play in global politics. Students will take notes and engage in discussion on the principles of human rights set forth by the United Nations, and then do an assignment where students examine the role of the UN in increasing the status of the world's youth population.

Guiding Thought Question: Based on your own ideas which style of government do you think is the most effective for ruling a country? Explain your reasoning. (Click on the picture to get a simpler explanation of government systems)

Today's Learning Objectives: Students will be able to explain the different styles of government and their percieved benefits and disadvantages. Students will take notes on the styles of governments and engage in a discussion related to their style of governance.

Students will learn, and be able to identify definitions for vocabulary related to the study of International politics. Students will complete a vocabulary assignment, and then take a quiz on the topics from the assignment.
