A positive of parties including environmental policy in their campaigns and beliefs because then environmental issues are being talked about. A negative is that environmental issues become politicized and divisive tools. Instead of being a debate on different ways to fix issues, it is a debate on whether it is an issue.

The negative of political parties making the environment central pieces of their platform is that environmental issues get politicized when they shouldn't be. Currently, environmental activism and efforts are so linked with the democratic party that getting republicans to take actions to protect the environment is challenging because they don't want to be seen as supporting the democratic agenda. The advantage of it being a main part of their platform is that then they might actually do something about it when they're in power.

The positives of political parties making environmental issues the centerpiece of their platforms is that it will most likely help create the environmental policies that can help save the environment.
The negatives of this is that they can either lie about the issues at hand or even not create any policies that can help the environment, plus, they can make it worse too.

The main positive to having political parties with a focused agenda of environmental policy is that those policies can be widely supported by millions of people. The negative is that when something is liked by one party it is hard for the other side of the spectrum to be appecting and understanding.

Negatives are that some of those people don't actually care about the environment enough for it to be one of their central issues. Positives are that despite them not caring, other people will. Other people will educate themselves because of things they hear politicians say.

Positives would be most people like and want to protect the environment so having that would get popularity a negative may be that other ideas don’t go with environmental protection

The good thing about political parties is that they each have their own central ideals and focuses that people can support and identify with, but the negative side is that it makes certain topics into political issues rather than just issues that need to be addressed.

A positive is that they have made a promise to the people about what they want to be helping with the environment and must fulfill that obligation in order to make their people happy. A negative is that they may make promises about what they want to do to help the environment but then never actually fulfil them.

The positives would be that people from the particular party would get more passionate and push for more change in order to uphold a reputation. The negative could be that the other party looks at environmentalism as their enemy, something they have to be against to withhold their political stance
