A good way to pick out fake news is to see if you recognize the news source and the factual history of the news source. To determine good news look for stories that are not politically motivated and use common sense to think through if this could be true.

Some general rules of thumb when analyzing whether an article is reliable enough is to see their credibility on a credibility check website. Also, if the new articles online have multiple ads it’s probably a sign it’s not the most reliable.

My tactic is just not believe anything I see on instagram/snapchat/etc. and if it's something I could care about I do further research on it. But if you're going to pay attention to that thing just do your own research on it basically.

Some ways to pick out fake news while reading online is to see if the article is written by a professional company, to see if the news is even believable, to see if the news is politically motivated, and to make sure that the information is correct by checking other websites to fact check it.

Credible sources, always have a little skepticism, realizing what agendas may exist, using fact checkers, cross referencing

A good way to check for fake news is to look at who is publishing it by checking political standing and their goals. The more neutral the better

A good way to tell if something is fake news is if it is not from a credible recognizable source, do not believe what someone writes on social media without doing your own research and fact checking.

To figure out if something is fake news, you should always check what source it’s coming from and see if it’s credible. You can also look up if the source has been known to produce biased or false information in the past using online resources such as media bias fact check, and if the information is coming from social media, you can look it up on a credible website.
