Guiding Inquiry: How can individuals use the scientific process to investigate and solve global issues?

Guiding Thought Question: Why does it make sense that you should try to make a career out of something that you enjoy instead of trying to meld yourself into an already available career? What are the benefits of doing a career for enjoyment versus a career for money?

Today's Learning Objective: Students will explore how an interest in science can be applied towards solving global issues and how to make a career out of it.

There’s a saying that talks about how if you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life. It is a lot more enjoyable to do work you love because you will be able to get out of bed.

It makes sense that you should try to make a career out of something you love because it will help to make you happier and less stressed. Plus, it will also allow you to get a better depth for what you actually love, such as knowing the processes of certain things that others may not know about.
Some of the benefits include: being able to be happy, learning more about your passion, and being fulfilled with your job.

You should attempt to make a career out of what you love because if you're unhappy at your job it just makes it worse for literally everyone involved, yourself included. If you're unhappy and under a lot of stress from a job you don't like, it can cause health issues. While you could make more money at a less enjoyable job, I personally feel doing something that makes you happy has more value.

You need to be dedicated to your job todo your best and it’s hard to be dedicated to something you don’t love. Also, following your passion over following money can benefit society because your passion can benefit many people.

If you enjoy your career, youll be more invested in it, and be more happy overall. However if you find a career thats already available you could make more money.
