If students aren't familiar with each other then they will be reluctant to start discussions. Communication is important so misunderstandings are kept to a minimum.

ummm it's really important to the atmosphere of the classroom that students maintain a good flow of conversation and genuine connections to the subject matter and each other. PERSONALLY knowing my classmates on a deeper level helps me get them out of their comfort zone more easily

-If you ever need help you can ask your classmates. If you are comfortable with your classmates, then discussions will be better and less awkward. This is also an opportunity to make new friends!

So they can discuss comfortably it also give them someone to ask if they need help. It helps the students feel comfortale talking to each other and decreases the chance of miscommunication.

Knowing your peers in your class allows opportunities to help one another whether it's discussions, questions, and class criteria. Communication is key especially because others should feel comfortable to share and express different ideas or opinions.

It is important to get to know others and have good communication because it makes working together as a group/team more efficient and effective. Getting to know others also creates binds which over all makes class more enjoyable at least to me. Good communication makes assignments easier if we all can understand each other’s ideas and thoughts

If students don't know each other that well and don't try to get to know each other then they will be less willing to work together

It’s important for students to get to know each other so they are able to build important relationships, these relationships will allow students to be able to express their opinions and concerns freely without feeling judged by anyone in the classroom.

Getting to know classmates is important to be able to feel comfortable in the class environment. Having to go to school everyday with strangers that you never talked to, or worked with would be miserable.

It is so important for students to get to know each other so that they can feel more comfortable and if they feel more comfortable then they can work in a more productive manner. Good communication is also required to help the flow of class as well as the learning process as well.
