Sometimes people just want answers. Or they just want to find something out themselves. They do it just because. It's what humans do.

The purpose of research is to share what you know. The scientific community listens to each other to expand and build on what we already know.

A reason why people should research things besides increasing your knowledge is just curiosity for what would happen during or after the experiment.

In psychology it would be to help others through their mental health. And in other sciences it can help others physically as well. Science can be used to survive, learn, and improve health.

Just so we can make it easier and more palatable for more people. Also people can test to make sure that the theories are true and to better help their understanding of certain topics.
