Guiding Thought Question: What types of things make it difficult for you to focus on your schoolwork? Make a list of 5 things and then rank them based on how frequently they distract you from being able to focus.

Guiding Inquiry: What factors have to be considered in order for learning to happen?

Objective: Students will be able to explain the different stages of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs by engaging in direct instruction and discussion about the concepts associated with the model, and be able to incorporate it into the development of their educational experience they develop for the unit.

1- work- i work almost every day of the week until about 8:30
2- my own passions- music and video games are things i would infinitely rather do than homework and school work.
3- life planing- its really hard to figure out what i want to do in life when Im constantly stressed about school work and grades.
4- track- lots of practice takes up lots of time
5- social life- weather or not teachers admit it, a healthy social life with friends is critical in highschool
